Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 13, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how the Tracit mobile application (“Tracit”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the app as a professional organizer or as part of your business.
This document is provided as a general template and does not constitute legal advice. You should review it with a qualified attorney to ensure it meets your specific legal and regulatory requirements.
1. Who we are
Tracit is a mobile application designed for professional organizers to manage clients, sites, engagements, work sessions, inventory, reports, and invoices.
For the purposes of this policy, the app is operated by Forward Alpha LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”), or your applicable business entity.
2. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed by the Tracit app on your device. It does not cover:
- Your own business website or social media pages.
- Any third-party services you use outside of the app (e.g., email providers, cloud storage, invoicing tools).
- Any separate online portals or services that are not part of the Tracit app itself.
3. Information we handle in the app
Tracit is primarily a local, device-based tool. The information below is stored on your device in a local database (for example, SQLite) and is controlled by you.
3.1 Client and project information
As part of using Tracit, you may store information about your clients and their projects, including:
- Client name or organization name.
- Contact person name.
- Contact details (email, phone number, billing address).
- Site addresses (home, office, storage, etc.).
- Engagement details (project name, scope, terms, dates, notes).
- Work session details (start/end time, billable/non-billable status, notes).
3.2 Inventory and item information
To help you organize and later find items, Tracit allows you to store:
- Item photos (taken with the device camera or chosen from your photo library).
- Item names and descriptions.
- Location information (e.g., “Garage > Shelf A > Bin 3”).
- Tags and notes for search and categorization.
3.3 Materials and billing information
To support invoicing, you may store:
- Materials and supplies used (e.g., bins, labels, shelving units).
- Quantities and unit prices.
- Session durations and hourly rate.
- Calculated tax rate (for example, 8%) and totals on invoices.
3.4 Usage data and analytics
As of the “Last updated” date above, Tracit is designed to operate primarily on-device. We do not operate a public cloud backend for this app, and we do not automatically transmit your client data to our servers.
The app may use standard diagnostic information provided by the operating system (for example, Apple’s crash reporting), which is handled according to your device and App Store settings.
4. How information is stored
All client, project, and inventory data you enter into Tracit is stored locally on your device in a database (e.g., SQLite) associated with the app.
When you export or share information (for example, sending a PDF report or invoice to a client via email or messaging apps), that data is shared through your device’s operating system and the third-party services you choose. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
5. How information is used
Tracit processes the information you enter in order to provide the app’s core features:
- Managing clients, sites, and engagements.
- Timing and tracking work sessions.
- Cataloging items and their locations.
- Tracking materials used in a project.
- Generating reports and invoices.
We do not use your client data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
6. Camera, photos, and device permissions
Tracit may request access to certain device permissions in order to function properly:
- Camera: to capture photos of items.
- Photos / Media Library: to allow you to select existing photos for items.
- File access / storage (if applicable): to save or export reports and invoices as PDFs.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings. However, certain features may not work correctly without the appropriate permissions.
7. Children’s privacy
Tracit is intended for use by professional organizers and other adult professionals. It is not directed to children and does not create accounts for children.
If you store household information that includes children’s items (for example, toys or clothing), this is handled as part of your professional client records and is controlled by you.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because Tracit stores data locally on your device, you control how long you retain it. You can:
- Delete individual items, sessions, engagements, or clients within the app (where supported).
- Uninstall the app from your device, which will typically delete the local app database and its contents.
We do not maintain separate server copies of your client data, except where you may have chosen to back up your device using third-party services (e.g., iCloud backups).
9. Security
We design Tracit to rely on your device’s built-in security features (such as device encryption, passcodes, Face ID / Touch ID, etc.). We recommend:
- Using a strong device passcode or biometric authentication.
- Keeping your operating system and apps up to date.
- Being careful when sharing your device or screen around client data.
No app or system can guarantee perfect security, but we aim to minimize the data we collect and keep most processing on-device.
10. Third-party services
When you share or export reports, invoices, or item images, you may choose to use third-party apps and services (for example, email providers, messaging apps, cloud storage, or printing services).
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services. Please review the privacy policies of any services you use alongside Tracit.
11. International users
Tracit may be used by organizers in different countries. Because the app is primarily local and does not automatically transmit client data to our own servers, cross-border data transfers are largely under your control (for example, when you email a report to a client in another country).
You are responsible for complying with any privacy or data-protection obligations that apply to your business in your jurisdiction (for example, GDPR, CCPA, or other local laws).
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may also provide additional notice in the app.
Your continued use of Tracit after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you accept the changes.
